Who I am

This site is run by Anthony Chukwu, a sole trader trading as Anthony Chukwu Consulting. I am the data controller for the personal data described here.

Contact me at iamikanthony@gmail.com.

What I collect

  • Contact form. Your name, email address, what you need help with and your message.
  • Call bookings. Your name, email address, the time you pick and anything you add to the booking. Bookings run through Cal.com.
  • Email. Anything you send me by email.
  • Payments. Your name, email address and the amount paid. Payments run through Stripe. I never see your full card details.
  • Project information. If we work together, the access, data and documents you share so I can do the work.

This site uses no analytics and no advertising trackers.

Why I use it

  • To reply to your enquiry and arrange a call. This is in my legitimate interests, and a step you ask for before any contract.
  • To do the work you hire me for and send invoices. This is necessary to perform our contract.
  • To keep tax and business records. This is a legal obligation.

I won't add you to a mailing list or send you marketing without your consent.

Who else handles it

I use a small number of services to run the business. Each processes data only to provide its service:

  • Netlify: hosts this site and receives contact form messages.
  • Cal.com: handles call bookings.
  • Stripe: handles payments.
  • Google: email, through Gmail.

Some of these services store data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where they do, the transfer is covered by UK adequacy regulations or the standard data protection clauses those services provide.

I never sell your data.

How long I keep it

  • Enquiries that don't lead to work: deleted within 12 months.
  • Client records and invoices: kept for 6 years after the end of the tax year they relate to, as HMRC requires.
  • Project data you share: deleted or returned within 30 days of the project ending, unless we agree otherwise.

Your rights

You can ask me to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, limit how I use it, or send it to you in a portable format. You can also object to how I use it. Email me and I will reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with how I handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. I would appreciate the chance to sort it out first.

Changes

If I change this policy, I will update the date at the top of this page.
